From Monday 30 June to Thursday 3 July, Sea Change will press “pause” for a quick refurbishment and to finalise our brand-new menu. We’ll reopen on Friday 4 July.
We asked for your feedback through an anonymous survey, and your responses have been overwhelmingly kind and positive. While we’re grateful, we’re also left wondering: what more can we do to make sure people come through our doors?
Behind the scenes at our South Shields site, sales have sadly been down all year, and with government cuts and delays to disability support in the workplace, running a social-enterprise café has become more difficult. We’re proud of the difference we make, but the truth is, we can’t do this alone.
We still believe South Shields needs a café that trains and employs disabled people – and we know many of you feel the same. When we reopen this Friday, we’re inviting past, present, and future customers to come and see what’s new with:
- FREE barista coffee for every customer on Friday!
- 10% off all food throughout the reopening weekend (Friday 4th -Sunday 6th July)
Pop in any time between 4–6 July, say hello to the team, and tell a friend.
Come support Sea Change and help us shape the future of our little community café – your presence matters.
Every purchase at Sea Change keeps our trainees in jobs, supports local suppliers, and helps keep our community venue alive. More than that, it allows us to train more neurodiverse adults through our employability programme, helping build brighter futures through confidence and real work skills.
If you have any other feedback, please email us at info@seachangecafe.co.uk.
Thankyou,
The Sea Change Team
